Right before Kel & I left for our weekend in Bermuda, I made a "fancy" dinner to celebrate Donna’s birthday. (Creamy shallot and endive soup with bacon; beef tenderloin stuffed with shiitake mushrooms, spinach, leeks, roasted red peppers, garlic, goat cheese, mozzarella fresco, and Romano cheese; fresh green beans with ginger, garlic and olive oil.)
Dessert, of course, was a birthday cake. I did NOT make it. I’m not much into sweet stuff, or food items that don’t involve garlic…

(Actually Donna’s birthday was the previous week, but I was traveling somewhere… I certainly wanted to make a nice dinner since Donna stayed with the kids while Kel & I went to Bermuda.)
